Privacy Policy – One Baghdad

Introduction

One Baghdad is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, with whom we share it, and your choices. It applies to the mobile app and the related website.

What We Collect Today

• Phone number for login and identity verification via OTP (SMS or an external channel).
• Basic account information (e.g., display name if provided).
• Technical identifiers & diagnostics (e.g., iOS IDFV; crash/performance logs if enabled).
• Support communications you send to us (in-app or via an optional external channel).

Not Collected In-App

We currently do not collect location, camera, photos/files, or push notifications in-app. If such features are introduced, we will update this policy and clearly request permissions.

Verification – Clear Policy

Regular users: there is no verification option for regular users; the app can be used without verification.

Drivers: verification is optional before or after enabling driver features. It helps protect users, reduce fraud, and assist with dispute resolution when needed.

Reasons for Verification

• Community protection and safety.
• Fraud prevention and misuse deterrence.
• Identity verification when enabling driver features (optional).
• Customer support and dispute resolution.

Data Collected If a Driver Opts-In

• Full name
• Selfie or profile photo
• National ID card (both sides)
• Phone number

Driver verification documents are submitted via an external, out-of-app channel chosen by the driver. The app does not currently request in-app photo uploads. Verification data is used strictly for the purposes above and retained for a limited period, then deleted or anonymized unless a longer retention is legally required.

How We Collect Data

• Directly from you when you register or submit your phone number.
• From your device upon use (OTP flow, diagnostics, crash logs).
• Optional external channels: if a driver submits verification documents externally, processing occurs outside the app under that provider’s privacy policy.

Purposes of Use

• App functionality: account creation, OTP login, abuse prevention, and customer support.
• Quality and security: performance measurement, crash reduction, and experience improvements.
• Essential communications: service/security updates.
• No third-party advertising and no cross-app tracking.

Data Sharing

We share your data only with service providers operating on our behalf to deliver features (e.g., OTP delivery, hosting/storage, crash/analytics if enabled). They are contractually bound to confidentiality and may not use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell your data.

Retention & Deletion

• Account/phone number: retained while the account is active; deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period after deletion requests/closure unless legally required otherwise.
• OTP & support logs: retained for a limited period for security and dispute resolution, then deleted/anonymized.
• Driver verification data (for those who opt-in): retained for a limited period to complete verification and protect users, then deleted/anonymized unless a longer retention is legally required.
• Technical/crash logs: retained for a limited period to improve quality.

Permissions & Future Features

We currently do not request camera/photos/location/push permissions. If we introduce a feature requiring permission, we will display a clear purpose string in-app and update this policy before activation.

Security

We use HTTPS, internal access controls, and secure storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

International Transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country by our service providers. We take reasonable steps to protect your data in line with this policy.

Age

The service is intended for users 16+. If we become aware of data from a minor, we will delete it.

Your Rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting us. We may verify your identity and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. We will display a clear in-app/website notice with the effective date for any material changes.
